One of the things that attracted me to Plunder Design was their personalized jewelry and customizable pieces.
Photos, original artwork, even a child’s finger painting can all be preserved in adorable, wearable pendants. In a time when many of us keep pictures on cell phones, I found it refreshing to be able to offer others a way to preserve their memories and to gift personalized pieces to others.
In March, I lost my beloved 12-year old boxer, Jane. Death can be so heart-wrenching. I lost my father at a young age, and know personally that death tends to bring to the surface a feeling of grief that, at times, can be unbearable.
Losing my four-legged companion was no different. I remembered the many “Atlas” pendants I made for others in the same situation and how those jewelry pieces helped them. So, I created one with my favorite picture of Jane, knowing that anytime I had a tough day, I could wear her near my heart. And I have.
Personalized Jewelry Keeps Memories Close
I don’t always know what to say to people who have lost a special friend or loved one dear to them, even though I’ve been in that same position. And I experienced that grief. Tonight, as I write this, I’ve submitted three Atlas pendant requests: two for clients whose beloved dogs have passed, and one for a friend whose child, born ill, just passed last week.
I do know this for certain: memories of loved ones live on and remind us no one is truly ever gone from our hearts.
